★ DEEP EXPERTISE

Fasteners & Hardware

This is our deepest category. Working hand-in-hand with an IATF 16949–certified fastener plant, we read your drawings, argue grades and coatings with engineers, and deliver PPAP-backed parts to DIN, ISO, ASTM, JIS and IS standards.

WHERE WE SOURCE IT

Which country should make this?

China is not always the cheapest and India is not always the best. We compare the ecosystem, quality, MOQs, duties and landed cost for your product.

Ludhiana, India

Our home ground for fasteners and hardware, with a partner plant working to IATF 16949.

Wenzhou & Handan, China

High-volume commodity fasteners and standard parts at scale.

Shanghai / Ningbo corridor

Export consolidation, coatings and third-party testing support.

KEY SOURCING CONSIDERATIONS

What decides the price and the outcome.

  • Send the drawing with grade, coating and standard — pricing changes sharply between 8.8, 10.9 and 12.9.

  • Coating choice (zinc, ZnNi, HDG, geomet) drives both cost and salt-spray performance.

  • Commodity sizes are priced per kg; drawing-based specials are priced per piece with tooling.

  • Duty and freight can outweigh a lower unit price — compare landed cost, not ex-works cost.

QUALITY & VERIFICATION

Before you pay a deposit.

  • Material certificates and heat-number traceability per lot.
  • PPAP documentation where the application requires it.
  • Salt-spray, torque and tensile test reports before shipment.
  • Factory-versus-trader check so you know who actually makes the part.

AVOID THESE

Costly mistakes in fasteners & hardware.

See all costly sourcing mistakes
✕

Accepting the wrong grade or coating

Grade and coating drive both price and performance, and substitutions are easy to hide. State the grade (8.8, 10.9, 12.9), the standard and the coating on the drawing, and ask for the material certificate against that lot.

→ Fasteners fail under load or corrode in the field.
✕

No material certificate or PPAP

Without documentation you cannot prove what you bought. Agree upfront which documents ship with each lot — material certificate, test reports and, where the application needs it, PPAP.

→ No traceability when a batch is questioned by your customer.
✕

Skipping salt-spray / torque testing

Coating thickness and tightening behaviour are invisible on arrival. Specify salt-spray hours and torque/tensile testing as part of the order, not as an afterthought.

→ Coating and tension problems surface only after assembly.
FAQ

Fasteners & Hardware questions.

What buyers ask us most often in this category.

Ask the sourcing team
Can you make fasteners to my drawing?

Yes. Drawing-based fasteners are a core strength — send the drawing with grade, coating and standard, and we quote feasibility and PPAP scope with our manufacturing partner.

Which grades and standards do you cover?

Grades 4.8, 8.8, 10.9 and 12.9 across DIN, ISO, ASTM, JIS and IS, with zinc, ZnNi, HDG and geomet coatings.

Do you provide PPAP and material certificates?

Yes — PPAP documentation, material certificates and test reports (salt-spray, torque, tensile) are available with full lot traceability.

What is the minimum order?

MOQ depends on grade, size and coating. Share your part and target volume and we confirm the reality check per brief.

CLIENT VOICES

What buyers say

“We needed CNC and packaging machinery from China and had been burned once before. The Atlas team verified the factory, sat in on our video audit and negotiated the price down. The machines landed exactly as promised.

“Sourced a full line of food-processing machinery through them. Their landed-cost breakdown was spot on — no surprises at customs, and the pre-shipment inspection caught two issues before the balance went out.
